Design of highly redundant fault tolerant control for aircraft elevator system

Elevators are surfaces of flight control, typically at the rear an aircraft to control pitch plane, angle attack and wing lift. The most critical actuation device is longitudinal its failures will result in a catastrophic crash. This paper proposes Highly Redundant Fault Tolerant Control (HRFTC) policy for accommodate faults sensors actuators. Modified Triple Modular Redundancy (MTMR) has been proposed Dual (DR) working laws, pilot order, signal conditioning, failure elaborated. Furthermore, PID controller used adjustment position elevator by comparing it with set point. results show that when fault occurs, system detects successfully tolerates quickly without disturbing aircraft. study significant avionics industry manufacturing highly reliable machines human environmental safety.
