Designing E-Courses for Hearing Impaired Students: Practices and Challenges

The paper deals with the problem of designing educational e-courses for teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing students taking into consideration their special needs. presents practices online learning such at Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University. is aimed publishing results research related to electronic courses hearing impaired students, including adaptation videos, use an e-dictionary terms, graphic text materials illustrated by on Descriptive geometry English language taught ISTU.The study was conducted Centre inclusive education University, experiments involved 11-19 hearing-impaired majoring in Mechanical Engineering. were asked participate a series involving video materials, different forms information presentation terms dictionary. participants answer test questions about presented material, fill questionnaires discuss experiment.As result our study, following typical structure e-course units proposed: each unit starts introduction e-vocabulary (in Russian sign language), followed comprehension then theoretical material form lectures subtitles, lecture notes, activity book, step-by-step instructions perform tasks additional materials.
