Detecting dark energy fluctuations with gravitational waves

چکیده
Luminosity distance estimates from electromagnetic and gravitational wave sources are generally different in models of dynamical dark energy gravity beyond the standard cosmological scenario. We show that this leaves a unique imprint on angular power-spectrum fluctuations luminosity gravitational-wave observations which tracks inhomogeneities field. Exploiting synergy supernovae measurements, we build joint estimator directly probes fluctuations, providing conclusive evidence for their existence case detection. Moreover, such measurement would also allow to probe running Planck mass. discuss experimental requirements detect these signals.

Dark Energy and Inflation from Gravitational Waves
In this seven-part paper, we show that gravitational waves (classical and quantum) produce the accelerated de Sitter expansion at the start and at the end of the cosmological evolution of the Universe. In these periods, the Universe contains no matter fields but contains classical and quantum metric fluctuations, i.e., it is filled with classical and quantum gravitational waves. In such evoluti...

متن کاملRefractive Gravitational Waves and Quantum Fluctuations
Refractive gravitational waves are a generalisation of impulsive waves on a null hypersurface in which the metric is discontinuous but a weaker continuity condition for areas holds. A simple example of a plane wave is examined in detail and two arguments are given that this should be considered a solution of Einstein’s vacuum field equations. The study of these waves is motivated by quantum gra...
متن کاملDark Energy From Vacuum Fluctuations
The nature of the dark energy (DE) is one of the most outstanding problems of physical sciences today. Numerous and often ingenious attempts have been made to explain it, with multiple new papers appearing daily, yet no model proposed so far has gained a general acceptance. Modern approaches to the problem date from the pioneering papers by Zel’dovich [1], who was first to recognize the fundame...
متن کاملDetecting gravitational waves from accreting neutron stars
The gravitational waves emitted by neutron stars carry unique information about their structure and composition. Direct detection of these gravitational waves, however, is a formidable technical challenge. In a recent study we quantified the hurdles facing searches for gravitational waves from the known accreting neutron stars, given the level of uncertainty that exists regarding spin and orbit...
