Abstract Economic shocks provide both risks and opportunities for workplace training programs—the risk of program cancellation or interruption to skills development, the opportunity be at vanguard economic recovery. This paper analyzes impact Covid-19 resulting shock on programs in US using a survey amongst employers participating support networks, run from April-June 2021. We anticipate that expressly motivated by returns investment those are higher quality leading stronger credentials will most likely survive have minimal disruption acquisition. Results suggest expressed motivations train generally not linked loss, while there is some evidence paid offering better being more survive. Internships demographically diverse show greater likelihood loss.
