چکیده
Background: The distance walked during the six-minute walk test (6MWD) is predicted measure for mortality and rehospitalization in patients with heart failure. Objective: To identify determinants of 6MWD at discharge from Methods: This a descriptive cross-sectional clinical study. Patients aged 18 to 80 years functional class I II were eligible. Those who have type psychiatric, cognitive or locomotor disorder; atrial fibrillation; use fixed frequency pacemaker not following collected medical records: name, age, sex, BMI (body mass index); ejection fraction left ventricle; hemoglobin; fasting blood glucose; etiology stay; presence risk factors cardiovascular diseases; infection. muscle strength knee extension movement was evaluated by dynamometry, quality life Nottingham Health Profile (NHP), previous physical activity level International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) 6MWD. Results: Sixty final sample (58.3% males, mean age 56.23±10.44 years). Were selected as variables multivariate analysis: (p=0.057), dynamometry (p=0.004), Total NPH (p=0.017) IPAQ (p=0.018). R=0.72 R²=0.53 p<0.05 393.16±42.80 meters. Conclusion: In this study were: total IPAQ.

Determinants of distance walked during the six-minute walk test in patients undergoing cardiac surgery at hospital discharge
INTRODUCTION The aim of this study was to identify the determinants of distance walked in six-minute walk test (6MWD) in patients undergoing cardiac surgery at hospital discharge. METHODS The assessment was performed preoperatively and at discharge. Data from patient records were collected and measurement of the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) and the Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) wer...
متن کاملHeart Rate Recovery in the First Minute at the Six-Minute Walk Test in Patients with Heart Failure
BACKGROUND Heart rate recovery at one minute of rest (HRR1) is a predictor of mortality in heart failure (HF), but its prognosis has not been assessed at six-minute walk test (6MWT) in these patients. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to determine the HRR1 at 6MWT in patients with HF and its correlation with six-minute walk distance (6MWD). METHODS Cross-sectional, controlled protocol with 161 ind...

Reliability, validity, and responsiveness of the six-minute walk test in patients with heart failure.
BACKGROUND Our purpose was to evaluate the reliability, validity, and responsiveness of the 6-minute walk test (6MWT) in patients with heart failure (HF) enrolled in the Randomized Evaluation of Strategies for Left Ventricular Dysfunction (RESOLVD) pilot study. METHODS A total of 768 patients was enrolled in a multicenter randomized clinical trial evaluating the effect of candesartan, enalapr...
متن کاملThe Correlation Between the Six Minute Walk Test and Spirometric Parameters in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Introduction: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease affect nearly every organ system. Pulmonary involvement, which is a common manifestation of SLE, can remain undiagnosed if asymptomatic. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of spirometric findings in early detection of silent pulmonary involvement and examine its correlation with the six minute walk test in SLE pa...
