Determining Water Stress and Varying Irrigation Regimes on Spinach (Spinacea oleracea L.) Growth Performance

چکیده

Abstract Water is essential for the crops’ growth. Scarcity in water will lead to stress. It vital manage irrigation crops avoid Leafy vegetables, such as spinach ( Spinacea oleracea L.), require higher demand than other vegetables. Therefore, this study was conducted evaluate growth of grown under various regimes and determine at which set most suitable one Three treatments were applied, (T0) common practice (control), (T1) matric potential = 30centibars, (T2) 60centibars, measured 60 days. The arranged Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four replications. There significant differences plant height, number root length including biomass spinach. T0 found be right rate levels that watering twice a day until soil wet. Spinach also can tolerate mild stress 30centibars but 60centibars cause highest yield achieved adequate supply, while lower levels.
