چکیده

Paris polyphylla is an important medicinal plant that can biosynthesize polyphyllins with multiple effective therapies, ranging from anti-inflammation to antitumor; however, the genetic diversity of still unclear. To explore characteristics cultivation populations in primary planting areas, we developed 10 expressed sequence tag simple repeat (EST-SSR) markers related polyphyllin backbone biosynthesis and utilized them 136 individuals cultivated P. var. yunnanensis. The index showed ten loci had relatively high polymorphism levels. Shannon information suggested more occurred within population less among population. In addition, overall exhibited a low degree differentiation populations, but maintained individuals, resulting gene flow general hybridization. structure analysis revealed possibly derived two ancestral groups all were found different levels admixture. at level, suggesting cross-pollination cultivars. These findings will provide insights into germplasm resources facilitate marker-assisted breeding for this herb.

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Iranian tulips revealed by EST-SSR and NBS-LRR Markers

The genus Tulipa L. (Liliaceae) comprises about 100 species and Iran is considered as one of the main origins of tulips. In this research, genetic diversity and population structure of 27 wild populations of tulips collected from Iran were studied by 15 highly polymorphic and reproducible expressed sequenced tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers and 8 nucleotide binding site (NBS)-enzyme...

Development of EST-SSR markers to study genetic diversity in hyacinth bean (Lablab purpureus L

The development of expressed sequence tags (ESTs) has provided a useful source for the mining of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. The hyacinth bean (Lablab purpureus L.) is one of the most ancient and important legume crops in the world, and is widely distributed in tropical and sub-tropical regions, but currently only limited molecular markers are available. The aim of the present study i...

Development of Reproducible EST-derived SSR Markers and Assessment of Genetic Diversity in Panax ginseng Cultivars and Related Species

Little is known about the genetics or genomics of Panax ginseng. In this study, we developed 70 expressed sequence tag-derived polymorphic simple sequence repeat markers by trials of 140 primer pairs. All of the 70 markers showed reproducible polymorphism among four Panax speciesand 19 of them were polymorphic in six P. ginseng cultivars. These markers segregated 1:2:1 manner of Mendelian inher...

Genetic variation, population structure and linkage disequilibrium in Switchgrass with ISSR, SCoT and EST-SSR markers

BACKGROUND To evaluate genetic variation, population structure, and the extent of linkage disequilibrium (LD), 134 switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) samples were analyzed with 51 markers, including 16 ISSRs, 20 SCoTs, and 15 EST-SSRs. RESULTS In this study, a high level of genetic variation was observed in the switchgrass samples and they had an average Nei's gene diversity index (H) of 0.311...

Assessment of Genetic Diversity and Population Genetic Structure of Corylus mandshurica in China Using SSR Markers

Corylus mandshurica, also known as pilose hazelnut, is an economically and ecologically important species in China. In this study, ten polymorphic simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers were applied to evaluate the genetic diversity and population structure of 348 C. mandshurica individuals among 12 populations in China. The SSR markers expressed a relatively high level of genetic diversity (Na =...
