Development of soil organic matter measurement system

چکیده
We managed to create a self-developed sensor system, which is based on the simultaneous reflectance measurements at 660 and 940 nm wavelength. The ratio of refers concentration soil organic carbon (SOC). This instrument has calibration range 1.19 6.05 SOC%. SOC content twenty-six samples was measured by system standard spectrophotometric method we found that estimation in had good approximation differences ranged from –27.72% ~ + 6.99%. strong correlation between data reference (R2 = 0.73) values indicated our (Reference (SOX%) =1.4857 × E (SOC%) – 0.7393). measurement easy use displays records real time. allows one map an agricultural production area using its built-in GPS unit.

متن کاملGravimetric Determination of Soil Organic Matter
Studies were carried out to evaluate a gravimetric method for the determination of soil organic matter by the mass loss at 300C. The gravimetric method was compared with Walkley-Black, using several brazilian soils with variable chemical and physical properties. Gravimetric method was positively correlated with Walkley-Black method with the following linear regression equation: y = 3.72x + 0.29...

متن کاملSoil organic matter as sole indicator of soil degradation.
Soil organic matter (SOM) is known to play vital roles in the maintenance and improvement of many soil properties and processes. These roles, which largely influence soil functions, are a pool of specific contributions of different components of SOM. The soil functions, in turn, normally define the level of soil degradation, viewed as quantifiable temporal changes in a soil that impairs its qua...
