Development of the Al12SiCuFe Alloy Foam Composites with ZrSiO4 Reinforcements at Different Foaming Temperatures

Lightweight aluminum composite is a class of foam material that finds many applications. These properties make it suitable for industries, such as the transportation, aerospace and sports industries. In present work, closed-cell foams an Al-Si12CuFe alloy its are developed by stir casting process. The optimization foaming temperature was conducted in terms ligament node size also volatility zircon with melt, to provide strength cell walls. CaCO3 blowing agent homogeneously distributed molten metal without adding any thickener develop foam. decomposition rate temperature-dependent, which attributed formation gas bubbles alloy. Cell structure, wall thickness, controlled manufacturing process parameters, both physical mechanical dependent on being major variable. results show increase thickness higher leads decrease size. By first increases, then thickening occurs increased. uniform distribution helps structure. this comparative structural study presented regarding size, shape stability at different temperatures.
