This article presents a review of the evolution sorting process in recent years. The is no longer exclusively dependent on optical properties. old practice and modern equipment are described. Different properties such as shape, natural radiation, laser X-ray fluorescence, gamma infrared rays absorption, magnetic resonance used today introduced. Analytical methods processed real time also used. use artificial intelligence, instrumentation computation makes very trustworthy sophisticated separation method. It performed dry. Its great limitation processing capacity, but manufacturers making efforts to overcome this limitation.
