Differential Transmission Schemes for Generalized Spatial Modulation

Differential modulation schemes are very relevant in receivers having power and processing limitations, as these dispense with the need for knowledge of channel coefficients symbol detection. Spatial (SM) is a scheme used multi-antenna transmission scenarios where data transmitted amplitude, phase spatial domains through selected antennas. In coherent domain, generalized SM (GSM) employs multiple antennas combination during every time slot to enhance spectral efficiency (SE). this paper, we propose two differential which activate or more at transmit modulated symbol. These achieve higher SE using lesser number lower order instead required conventional based on modulation. Simulation studies reveal that proposed have better bit error rate performance than traditional schemes. We also derive analytical union bound satisfied from medium high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) ranges.
