چکیده
We investigate the phenomenon of diffusion in a countably infinite society individuals interacting with their neighbors network. At given time, each individual is either active or inactive. The driven by two characteristics: network structure and mechanism represented an aggregation function. distinguish between mechanisms (probabilistic, deterministic) focus on types functions (strict, Boolean). Under strict functions, polarization cannot happen, its state evolves towards mixture infinitely many inactive agents, homogeneous society. Boolean process becomes deterministic contagion model Morris (2000) particular case our framework. Polarization can then happen. Our dynamics also allows for cycles both cases. not relevant these questions, but important establishing irreducibility, at price richness assumption: should contain least one complex star have enough space storing local configurations. be game-theoretic interpretation via coordination game, where player would apply best-response strategy random neighborhood.

Balanced clusters and diffusion process in signed networks
In this paper we study the topology effects on diffusion process in signed networks. Considering a simple threshold model for diffusion process, it is extended to signed networks and some appropriate definitions are proposed. This model is a basic model that could be extended and applied in analyzing dynamics of many real phenomena such as opinion forming or innovation diffusion in social netwo...
متن کاملCapturing Unobserved Correlated Effects in Diffusion in Large Virtual Networks
5 Social networks and social capital are generally considered to be important 6 variables in explaining the diffusion of behavior. However, it is contested 7 whether the actual social connections, cultural discourse, or individual 8 preferences determine this diffusion. Using discrete choice analysis applied 9 to longitudinal Twitter data, we are able to distinguish between social 10 network in...
متن کاملDiffusion-based Time Synchronization in Large-Scale Distributed Sensor Networks
In this paper, the works on time synchronization in wireless sensor networks are investigated step by step. In particular, the diffusion-based algorithms for global synchronization in large-scale distributed sensor network are intensively focused. We thus propose a fast-converged asynchronous diffusion synchronization scheme in order to improve the performance of the asynchronous averaging diff...
متن کاملLocating the Source of Diffusion in Large-Scale Networks
How can we localize the source of diffusion in a complex network? Because of the tremendous size of many real networks-such as the internet or the human social graph-it is usually unfeasible to observe the state of all nodes in a network. We show that it is fundamentally possible to estimate the location of the source from measurements collected by sparsely placed observers. We present a strate...
متن کاملNonlinear Diffusion Through Large Complex Networks Containing Regular Subgraphs
Transport through generalized trees is considered. Trees contain the simple nodes and supernodes, either the well-structured regular subgraphs or those ample with triangles. We observe a superdiffusion for the highly connected nodes while it is Brownian (∝ t, d is the intrinsic space dimension of regular subgraphs) for the rest of nodes. Transport within a supernode is affected by the finite si...
