چکیده

Long-span cable-stayed bridges often have a design service life of more than hundred years, during which they may experience multiple earthquake events and accumulate seismic damage if are located in seismic-prone regions. Earthquake occurrence is discretely randomly distributed over the cycle long-span bridge causes sudden drops structural performance instead yearly fixed degradation. This study thus proposes digital twin-based life-cycle assessment method for bridges. The major components this include: (1) hazard analysis-based generation sequence; (2) response prediction considering lifetime (3) quantification method. proposed applied to scaled with series shake table tests. results show that twin can closely reproduce under sequential earthquakes. provides intuitive presentation accumulation process accurate estimation bridge.

Application of Structural Damage Control in Seismic Performance Opti- mization of Long-span Cable-stayed Bridge

The damage caused by earthquake is irresistible for human beings, and the structure with poor robustness is most affected by earthquake. Especially when traffic arteries like bridges and highways are affected, the losses will be unimaginable. To reduce the loss in earthquake, the paper targets the long-span cable-stayed bridge and discusses a method of structural damage control. The energy-diss...

Elastic-plastic Seismic Behavior of Long Span Cable-stayed Bridges

This paper investigates the elastic-plastic seismic behavior of long span cable-stayed steel bridges through the plane finite-element model. Both geometric and material nonlinearities are involved in the analysis. The geometric nonlinearities come from the stay cable sag effect, axial force-bending moment interaction, and large displacements. Material nonlinearity arises when the stiffening ste...

Cable optimization of a long span cable stayed bridge in La Coruña (Spain)

This document describes an optimization problem of cable cross section of a cable stayed bridge considering constraints of cable stress and deck displacement. Since the bridge is still in study phase, the geometry and the mechanical characteristics are subjected to changes. In order to avoid creating different structural models, a program was produced to construct a model from geometrical and m...

Static and Dynamic Characteristics of a Long-Span Cable-Stayed Bridge with CFRP Cables

In this study, the scope of CFRP cables in cable-stayed bridges is studied by establishing a numerical model of a 1400-m span of the same. The mechanical properties and characteristics of CFRP stay cables and of a cable-stayed bridge with CFRP cables are here subjected to comprehensive analysis. The anomalies in the damping properties of free vibration, nonlinear parametric vibration and wind f...

Condition assessment of long span cable-stayed bridges based on Structural Health Monitoring Techniques

This paper presents long-term condition assessment approaches of cables and bridge decks under in-service loads based on Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) technique. Aiming to the critical structural components, three important issues related to the long term performance evaluation, including loads and responses modelling, resistance degradation and fatigue life assessment, were investigated i...
