Lorentz Estimates for Asymptotically Regular Fully Nonlinear Elliptic Equations

We prove a global Lorentz estimate of the Hessian of strong solutions to a class of asymptotically regular fully nonlinear elliptic equations over a C1,1 smooth bounded domain. Here, the approach of the main proof is based on the Possion’s transform from an asymptotically regular elliptic equation to the regular one.

Local Estimates for Some Fully Nonlinear Elliptic Equations

We present a method to derive local estimates for some classes of fully nonlinear elliptic equations. The advantage of our method is that we derive Hessian estimates directly from C0 estimates. Also, the method is flexible and can be applied to a large class of equations. Let (M, g) be a smooth Riemannian manifold of dimension n ≥ 2. We are interested in a priori estimates for solutions of some...

Perron’s method for nonlocal fully nonlinear equations

This paper is concerned with existence of viscosity solutions of non-translation invariant nonlocal fully nonlinear equations. We construct a discontinuous viscosity solution of such nonlocal equation by Perron’s method. If the equation is uniformly elliptic, we prove the discontinuous viscosity solution is Hölder continuous and thus it is a viscosity solution.

Overdetermined problems for fully nonlinear elliptic equations

We prove that the existence of a solution to a fully nonlinear elliptic equation in a bounded domain Ω with an overdetermined boundary condition prescribing both Dirichlet and Neumann constant data forces the domain Ω to be a ball. This is a generalization of Serrin’s classical result from 1971.

Perturbing Fully Nonlinear Second Order Elliptic Equations

We present two types of perturbations with reverse effects on some scalar fully nonlinear second order elliptic differential operators: on the other hand, first order perturbations which destroy the global solvability of the Dirichlet problem, in smooth bounded domains of Rn; on the other hand, an integral perturbation which restore the local solvability, on compact connected manifolds without ...
