Direct comparison of analytically derived “Fedosov” solution with experimental measurements and numerical simulations of relativistic thin annular electron beam generation and propagation in magnetically insulated coaxial diode of SINUS-6 high-current electron-beam accelerator

The analytically derived solution for a thin annular electron-beam generation in magnetically insulated coaxial diode (MICD), also known as “Fedosov solution,” is validated by direct experimental measurements of current–voltage (I–V) characteristics MICD driven the high-current accelerator SINUS-6 and numerical particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations propagation computer model corresponding geometry initial/boundary conditions. I–V are performed monitoring analyzing voltage applied to an current generated explosive-emission cathode MICD. Numerical operation using ICEPIC code. comparisons “Fedosov” with experimentally measured well results three-dimensional analyzed, conclusion made that all three measures pretty much consistent each other. appliance analysis purposed now designing, prototyping, studying different variants O-type slow-wave high-power microwave/millimeter-wavelength vacuum electronic devices.
