چکیده
We report on an unusually bright observation of PSR J2051$-$0827 recorded during a regular monitoring campaign black-widow pulsar systems with the Effelsberg 100-m telescope. Through fortunate coincidence, particularly scintillation maximum is simultaneous eclipse by companion, enabling precise measurements variations in flux density, dispersion measure (DM), and scattering strength throughout eclipse. The density highly variable eclipse, peak 1.7 times average away from yet does not significantly decrease average. recover measured DM using geometric optics, relative velocity as only free parameter. effective (470 $\pm$ 10) km/s, consistent orbital motion suggesting that outflow lensing material low, or directly along line sight. 2 per cent uncertainty formal error; systematics related to our current model are likely dominate, we detail several extensions be considered full treatment lensing. This demonstration causal link between lensing; can predicted through derivatives DM. Going forward, this approach applied investigate dynamics other eclipsing systems, physical nature ionized interstellar medium.

The Orbital Evolution and Proper Motion of PSR J2051−0827
We have carried out high-precision timing observations of the eclipsing binary PSR J2051−0827 in the 3.3 years since its discovery. These data indicate that the orbital period is decreasing at a rate of Ṗb = (−11±1)×10. If secular, this orbital period derivative implies a decay time for the orbit of only 25 Myr which is much shorter than the expected timescale for ablation of the companion. We ...
متن کاملOrbital variability of the PSR J2051−0827 Binary System
We have carried out high-precision timing measurements of the binary millisecond pulsar PSR J2051−0827 with the Effelsberg 100-m radio telescope of the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie and with the Lovell 76-m radio telescope at Jodrell Bank. The 6.5-yrs radio timing measurements have revealed a significant secular variation of the projected semi-major axis of the pulsar at a rate of ẋ ≡...
متن کاملDiscovery of an Unidentified Fermi Object as a Black Widow-like Millisecond Pulsar
The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope has revolutionized our knowledge of the gamma-ray pulsar population, leading to the discovery of almost 100 gamma-ray pulsars and dozens of gamma-ray millisecond pulsars (MSPs). Although the outer-gap model predicts different sites of emission for the radio and gamma-ray pulsars, until now all of the known gamma-ray MSPs have been visible in the radio. Here w...
متن کاملIdentification of the Optical Counterpart of Fermi Black Widow Millisecond Pulsar Psr J1544+4937
We report the optical identification of the companion to the Fermi black widow millisecond pulsar PSR J1544+4937. We find a highly variable source on Keck LRIS images at the nominal pulsar position, with 2 magnitude variations over orbital period in the B, g, R, and I bands. The nearly achromatic light curves are difficult to explain with a simply irradiated hemisphere model, and suggest that t...

These two cases illustrate many classical features of latrodectism. A subclinical bite followed by extensive systemic signs and symptoms in a recognizable pattern is strongly suggestive of the diagnosis. Pain and muscle spasms are refractory to standard therapy but are relieved by intravenous calcium. Finally, there should be complete resolution of the symptoms after only one vial of antivenin ...
