DISTRIBUTION OF BOTTOM SEDIMENT BEFORE AND AFTER RECLAMATION AT CENTER POINT OF INDONESIA (CPI) MAKASSAR CITY

Characteristics and distribution of bottom sediment is one the important parameters in determining management plan land use coastal areas. The purpose this study was to determine condition sediments compare changes that occurred before after reclamation Center Point Indonesia (CPI) Makassar City. Sediment sampling carried out using a grab sampler at four stations, namely stastions on island adjacent area two other stations water around area. results showed waters consisted coarse sand medium with an organic matter content 14.92% sediment. On islands area, are move varied, consisting sand, fine lower 4.92% 5.38%.
