Dual-Band Circularly Polarized Fully Reconfigurable Reflectarray Antenna for Satellite Applications in the Ku-Band

This work presents the design and experimental validation of a dual-band fully reconfigurable circularly polarized (CP) reflectarray (RA) antenna for satellite communication applications in Ku-band. The proposed structure operates with downlink uplink beams at frequency bands [10.8–11.8] [14–15.4] GHz, respectively. Simultaneous independent beam control is provided over each two bands. constituent unit cell composed interleaved circular loops different sizes to address Each loop loaded using four varactor diodes. are symmetrically transverse plane provide an isotropic response suitable CP applications.
