چکیده

Abstract This work reports on the self-healing capabilities of mortar specimens with polyurethane encapsulated in two types cementitious macro-capsules, by comparison performance using same healing agent glass capsules, as tested an inter-laboratory testing campaign following a pre-standard procedure. was performed twofold objective checking robustness such procedure for varying capsules and effectiveness new type capsule that has never been used before durability tests. The developed framework EU COST Action SARCOS. First, were pre-cracked via three-point bending followed active crack width control technique. Then, effect characterised terms water permeability reduction. offered equivalent or better compared to testing. average sealing efficiency containing ranged from 54 74%, while macro-capsules it equal 56%. It also observed when applying test comparable size geometric arrangement, results obtained different repetitions test. confirmed possibility use valid macro-encapsulation system, offering additional advantages capsules. repeatability corroborated adopted procedure, highlighting its potential further standardisation.

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

Self-Healing in Cementitious Materials—A Review

Concrete is very sensitive to crack formation. As wide cracks endanger the durability, repair may be required. However, these repair works raise the life-cycle cost of concrete as they are labor intensive and because the structure becomes in disuse during repair. In 1994, C. Dry was the first who proposed the intentional introduction of self-healing properties in concrete. In the following year...

Designing Repeatable Self-Healing into Cementitious Materials

Designing self-healing into cementitious materials can open a new world of opportunities for resilient concrete infrastructure under service loading conditions. The self-healing process should be robust as well as repeatable, allowing for self-repair after multiple damage events. The repeatability poses great challenges when self-healing strategies mainly rely on the formation of low-strength c...

A New Method to Estimate Inhibition Percentage of Endogenous Digitalis in Patients with Pre-eclampsia

Background: Pre-eclampsia is an idiopathic pregnancy disorder characterized by appearance proteinuria and hypertension, with poorly understood etiology. It has been linked to a variety of system abnormalities, including ion transport disorders in neonatal, maternal, and placental cell lines. A new method was described to evaluate the inhibition percentage of endogenous digitalis in plasma of pr...
