Dynamic Coordination Games with Activation Costs

چکیده
Abstract Motivated by inventory control problems with set-up costs, we consider a coordination game where each player’s dynamics is an model characterized controlled input and uncontrolled output. An activation cost shared among active players, namely players who their at given time. At time, player decides to be or not depending on its level. Anti-Coordination Games and Dynamic stability
We introduce the class of anti-coordination games, including the hawk-dove game as a special case. A symmetric two-player game is said to have the anti-coordination property if any worst response to a mixed strategy is in the support of that mixed strategy. Every anti-coordination game has a unique interior Nash equilibrium. We investigate stability of the static equilibrium under several dynam...
متن کاملDynamic supply chain coordination games with repeated bargaining
Coordination in a supply chains may require investment in relationship-specific assets (RSA) including information systems and human resources from all or a subset of the partners. These investments are typically partially non-verifiable, possibly based on internal resources or opportunity costs. A supplier offers a single-price single-period contract to a downstream manufacturer who accepts or...
متن کاملStrategic Asymmetry in Dynamic Coordination Games with Learning
This paper studies a simple model of dynamic coordination with learning under incomplete information. We show that strategic asymmetry arises where the predecessor’s strategy is a strategic substitute for the successor’s while the latter is a strategic complement for the former. The role of dynamics and learning is identified by comparing the strategic interactions in the coordination games wit...
متن کاملLoad Rebalancing Games in Dynamic Systems with Migration Costs
We consider the following dynamic load balancing game: Given an initial assignment of jobs to identical parallel machines, the system is modified; specifically, some machines are added or removed. Each job’s cost is the load on the machine it is assigned to; thus, when machines are added, jobs have an incentive to migrate to the new unloaded machines. When machines are removed, the jobs assigne...
متن کاملDynamic system of strategic games
Maybe an event can't be modeled completely through one game but there is more chance with several games. With emphasis on players' rationality, we present new properties of strategic games, which result in production of other games. Here, a new attitude to modeling will be presented in game theory as dynamic system of strategic games and its some applications such as analysis of the clash betwe...
