Dynamic deformation monitoring of an offshore platform structure with accelerometers

Abstract In this paper, structural characteristics are evaluated by displacement and frequency indicators that indicate the real-time health status of offshore platforms. This paper uses an accelerometer to collect dynamic response platform in event a ship collision. The main contributions research reflected three aspects. Firstly, based on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) multiscale decomposition, noise range is determined according scale average value standardized accumulation mode, original acceleration sequence denoised. Secondly, two impact tests were carried out understand platform's under external load. Combined with FFT algorithm Hilbert Huang transform, three-dimensional information time, frequency, energy analyzed. Finally, method high-frequency reconstruction proposed. According extracted vibration information, parameters for filter reasonably set, denoised time processed bandpass filtering quadratic integration obtain structure. results show 1.5 mm. Two collision frequencies, 1.477 Hz 1.483 Hz, successfully from north direction.
