Dynamic evaluation of a nine-storey timber-concrete hybrid building during construction

Timber-concrete hybrid buildings are an innovative solution to increase the amount of timber materials used in modern buildings. This study presents a dynamic evaluation nine-storey timber-concrete residential building during construction. The has irregular shape and consists three seven storeys cross-laminated (CLT) on top two concrete. In order influence non-structural elements heavily increased slab load construction, ambient vibration tests were conducted times 13-month construction period. results show clear decrease natural frequencies as gets higher more installed. However, slight frequency was observed following installation walls final stage. A corresponding finite element analysis is presented for each test, providing additional insights into parameters typically structural design process. demonstrates importance properly selecting reduction factors CLT analysis. It also shows considering walls, both regarding weight stiffness, even where number relatively small compared walls.
