چکیده
Abstract The dynamics of suspended two-dimensional (2D) materials has received increasing attention during the last decade, yielding new techniques to study and interpret physics that governs motion atomically thin layers. This led insights into role thermodynamic nonlinear effects as well mechanisms govern dissipation stiffness in these resonators. In this review, we present current state-of-the-art experimental 2D membranes. focus will be both on measurement interpretation physical phenomena exhibited by membranes linear regimes. We show resonant have emerged sensitive probes condensed matter ultrathin layers, elements monitor small external forces or other changes environment. New directions for utilizing material characterization, thermal transport, gas interactions discussed conclude outlining challenges opportunities upcoming field.

Free Vibration Analysis of 2D Functionally Graded Annular Plate considering the Effect of Material Composition via 2D Differential Quadrature Method
This study investigates the free vibration of the Two-Dimensional Functionally Graded Annular Plates (2D-FGAP). The theoretical formulations are based on the three-dimensional elasticity theory with small strain assumption. The Two-Dimensional Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (2D-GDQM) as an efficient and accurate semi-analytical approach is used to discretize the equations of motion ...
متن کاملExtrinsic Cation Selectivity of 2D Membranes
From a systematic study of the concentration driven diffusion of positive and negative ions across porous 2D membranes of graphene and hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN), we prove their cation selectivity. Using the current-voltage characteristics of graphene and h-BN monolayers separating reservoirs of different salt concentrations, we calculate the reversal potential as a measure of selectivity. ...
متن کاملDynamics of viscoelastic membranes.
We determine both the in-plane and out-of-plane dynamics of viscoelastic membranes separating two viscous fluids in order to understand microrheological studies of such membranes. We demonstrate the general viscoelastic signatures in the dynamics of shear, bending, and compression modes. We show that these modes remain independent in the presence of hydrodynamic interactions. The full response ...
متن کاملFluid membranes exchanging material with external reservoirs.
We investigate the dynamics of a single component fluid bilayer, which exchanges material with the surrounding fluid. We derive covariant equations of motion taking into account solvent permeation, exchange of lipids between solvent and the membrane and discuss the sources of noise in these equations. Different lipid concentrations on both sides of the membrane lead to a non-equilibrium state. ...
متن کاملRelaxation dynamics of fluid membranes.
We study the effect of membrane viscosity in the dynamics of liquid membranes-possibly with free or internal boundaries-driven by conservative forces (curvature elasticity and line tension) and dragged by the bulk dissipation of the ambient fluid and the friction occurring when the amphiphilic molecules move relative to each other. To this end, we formulate a continuum model which includes a fo...
