Eco-Efficiency of Industrial Investment and Its Influencing Factors in China Based on a New SeUo-SBM-DEA Model and Tobit Regression

Nowadays, eco-efficiency is one of the most widely used comprehensive indicators in many fields and sectors. Understanding great significance to implement sustainable socioeconomic development for decision makers. To assess performance industrial investment, investment (EEII) constructed under perspective economic benefits, energy consumption, environmental impact this paper. Then, a new superefficient undesirable-output slack-based measure DEA (SeUo-SBM-DEA) model proposed applied EEII 30 provinces China from 2015 2017, its influencing factors are analyzed using Tobit regression. The empirical results show following: (1) China’s generally low (0.613), there exists significant regional disparity; namely, average value was highest eastern regions (0.838), followed by central (0.6) western (0.397). (2) R&D expenditure, level, foreign direct all had positive effect on while treatment pollution sources total education funds negative effect. Finally, paper puts forward some suggestions promote based our findings.
