Effect of CeO2 Content on Microstructure and Properties of Ni-Based Tungsten Carbide Layer by Plasma Arc Cladding

چکیده
A Ce-containing Ni-based tungsten carbide layer was prepared on the surface of Q345 steel by plasma arc cladding technology. The effect CeO2 additions microstructure and properties investigated. results showed that had no pores cracks their microstructural composition remained unchanged with in powder. After adding into powder, Ce atoms were absorbed particles to promote dissolution spheroidization. preferentially formed high-melting-point Ce2O3 acted as a nucleating agent induce formation dispersion carbides. shape changed from an irregular spherical shape. When content less than 0.2 wt.%, increase additions, refined. Meanwhile, hardness wear resistance increased. refinement reached optimum value, value maximum 1139 HV10. Moreover best. This attributed strengthening undissolved particles, solid solution solution, precipitation However, exceeded excessive increased viscosity resulting component segregation. Thus, spheroidization action weakened, irregular-shaped carbides appeared again. obviously decreased. can be widely used deep-sea mining other fields due its high resistance.
