چکیده
Aim: The aim of the present study was to examine different forms sulphur fractions in post- harvest soil cabbage crop determine S status red sandy loam soil, Thondamuthur block, Coimbatore district.
Study Design: design used Factorial randomized block with 20 treatments replicated thrice.
Place and Duration Study: A field experiment carried out a farmer’s non-calcareous deficient which located at Viraliyur village district during February May 2021 rabi season.
Methodology: as test fertilized NPK along sources viz., elemental sulphur, potassium sulphate, gypsum single super phosphate @ levels 0, 20, 40, 60 80 kg ha-1 thrice Randomized Block Design. water-soluble S, inorganic organic available residual were estimated post-harvest soil.
Results: results revealed that total differed from 278.1 339.4 mg kg-1. Among fractions, (39%) accounts highest proportion followed by (38.3%), (9.19%) (4.12%). order was, Inorganic > sulphate water soluble S.
Conclusion: This indicated all are strongly associated sources, properties under cultivation.

Microbiological Fractionation of Sulphur Isotopes.
A fractionation of sulphur isotopes was found in all hetabolic processes investigated except those in which elemental sulphur was the starting substrate for growth of Thiobacillus concretivorus and Chromatiurn sp. and for reduction by Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Except for polythionates formed during sulphide oxidation by T. concretivorus or Chromatiurn sp., the products of metabolism were enrich...
متن کاملPersistence and carryover effect of oxyfluorfen residues in red sandy clay loam soil
A Field experiments were conducted for two years at Agricultural Research Station, Bhavanisagar of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India during kharif season of 2010 and 2011 to evaluate the new formulation of oxyfluorfen (23.5% EC) on weed control in onion and their residual effect on succeeding crops. Herbicides are being chemical in nature, excessive and repeated use may pose...
متن کاملDetermination and fractionation of sulphur in a contaminated dredged sediment.
Conversion of sulphur compounds in reduced, contaminated sediments that are brought in upland conditions may largely affect the potential mobility of heavy metal contaminants. We applied selected methods for the determination of total sulphur and sulphur fractions in a contaminated sediment in the reduced state and after gradual drying and oxidation during 1 month. Dry ashing, followed by ion c...
متن کاملImpact of Distillery Effluent and Salts on Hydraulic Conductivity of a Sandy Loam Soil
Irrigation with distillery effluent, besides influencing crop yield, may have considerable impact on physical properties of soil because of its high salt and organic carbon contents. This experimental study was conducted to evaluate the effect of distillery effluent on hydraulic conductivity of a sandy loam alluvial soil and compare the effect of inorganic salts of potassium (K) with that of di...
متن کاملQuantifying hysteresis of atrazine desorption from a sandy loam soil.
Batch experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of initial atrazine concentrations and consecutive desorption steps on the desorption characteristics of atrazine from a sandy loam soil. As initial atrazine concentration increased, the average percentage of atrazine desorption on the sandy loam soil ranged gradually from 23.1% to 38.5% after five consecutive desorption steps. The v...
