Effect of isothermal annealing temperature on microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu<sub>45</sub>Zr<sub>45</sub>Ag<sub>7</sub>Al<sub>3</sub> amorphous alloy

Abstract Bulk amorphous alloys, as a material with broad application prospects, are highly expected in many cutting-edge applications. However, its plastic deformation relies on localized shear bands, resulting brittle fracture characteristics of materials low strain whole. Therefore, strengthening and toughening alloys is one the key topics research In this paper, effects different isothermal annealing temperature microstructure uniaxial compression properties Cu 45 Zr Ag 7 Al 3 alloy were studied by means differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that 10 , AlCu 2 Zr, 8 phases precipitated successively from matrix increase temperature, strength increased first then decreased; At an 741 K, nanocrystalline phase can improve alloy; when rises to 746 decreases slightly, but plasticity increases; continuous continues increase; As increase, decreases, exhibiting significant characteristics.
