چکیده

This study investigated the effect of manufacturing parameters on quality material extrusion additive (MEAM), specifically focusing microscale geometry lattice structures built up by discrete extruded filaments. The height, printing speed and width were investigated. Square grid structures, which can be precisely characterized, used to develop fundamental understanding that translated more complicated in future investigations. Print paths directly created as machine control code (GCode) using FullControl GCode Designer, bypassing conventional multi-stage translation a design from CAD an STL file, slicing software finally GCode. allowed precise parametric all aspects procedure, including would not possible with such over specific order direction each line, offsetting printed lines layer Z half height. was optical microscope X-ray micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). Microscale changes extruded-filament characterized before after filament-crossing points square structure, internal cavities identified. Printing found crucial parameter should carefully considered for structure applications require high terms minimizing geometric defects. Offsetting crossing extrudates layer-height resulted consistent greatly improved quality.

The Effect of Geometrical Parameters of Cylindrical Composite Lattice Structures on Buckling Behavior

Due to their light weights and high load carrying capacities, composite structures are widely used in various industrial applications especially in aerospace industry. Stiffening ribs are the main features of lattice type composite structures. Strength to weight ratio is known to be as one of the most critical design parameter in these structures. In this study, the effect of some parameters su...

Multifunctional 3D printing of heterogeneous hydrogel structures

Multimaterial additive manufacturing or three-dimensional (3D) printing of hydrogel structures provides the opportunity to engineer geometrically dependent functionalities. However, current fabrication methods are mostly limited to one type of material or only provide one type of functionality. In this paper, we report a novel method of multimaterial deposition of hydrogel structures based on a...

Internal 3D Printing of Intricate Structures

Additive technologies are increasingly used in Cultural Heritage process, for example in order to reproduce, complete, study or exhibit artefacts. 3D copies are based on digitization techniques such as laser scan or photogrammetry. In this case, the 3d copy remains limited to the external surface of objects. Medical images based digitization such as MRI or CT scan are also increasingly used in ...
