Effect of pulsed plasma on the scramjet combustor

Abstract To clarify the effect of pulsed plasma on scramjet combustor and find best area in cavity, effects pressure distribution, velocity transverse jet cross-sectional area, turbulent kinetic energy total loss were analyzed at different position areas when discharge frequency was 8 kHz under condition incoming flow Ma=1.7 cold flow. The results show that is slightly stronger than constant plasma, causing a small fluctuation shear layer further 12.20% increase degree influence velocity. Among effects, has greatest enhancing fuel mixing it located near trailing edge cavity. Compared with case without can longitudinal by 81.62%; 2.14%, central region 2.48%; reduce intensity shock wave, 0.25‰.
