EFFECT OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE WITH EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AS A MEDIATION VARIABLE

This research aims to determine the significant influence between transformational leadership on employee performance and engagement as a mediating variable for employees of Certain Functional Officers Immigration Analyst under Provincial Office Ministry Law Human Rights Kepulauan Riau. is quantitative study using primary data. The population in amounted 216 employees, with total sample 163 who filled out questionnaire measured by Likert scale. To answer hypothesis formulation, results data collection were analyzed Partial Least Square (PLS) method assisted SmartPLS 3.0 software. Based analysis method, it was found that two components leadership, namely idealized inspirational motivation, have positive but insignificant effect performance, while other intellectual stimulation individualized consideration no effect. And when four (idealized influence, consideration) are mediated variable, there strengthening performance.
