Effectiveness of Information Service Delivery through Marketing of Library Resources and Services

This study examined the effectiveness of information service delivery through marketing library resources and services. A descriptive survey design was used for with a population 119 staff. Complete census adopted as entire study. The instrument data collection structured questionnaires. In analyzing data, statistics such percentages, mean frequency tables were used. findings showed that services are available in university include lending services, reservation interlibrary loan, document current awareness amongst others. also revealed respondents mixed attitude towards information. Findings discovered different methods which ranges from exhibition display, organizing trainings, seminars workshop, media release radio television equally problems militating against lack effective communication between librarians users, inadequate fund, facilities to market network problem andpoor access technologyamongst It recommend more funds be allocated developing libraries by parent organization, management should expose conferences, seminars, workshop symposiums needed provided libraries.
