Effects of Agro-healing Program on Hand Function, Grip Strength, and Activities of Daily Living Skills of People with Developmental Disabilities

Background and objective: Agro-healing (care farming) has developed into a new professional area belonging to the field of social horticulture. programs are horticultural activities that serve as rehabilitation training for therapeutic treatment physical mental disorders, have caught attention scholars in medicine psychology. Developmental disabilities reduce cognitive function; people with developmental (PDD) difficulties establishing relationships due their low visual, hearing, emotional functions. This study aimed apply agro-healing program PDD suggest clinical therapy methods them.Methods: selected 32 who understood its purpose agreed participate from April July 2022 at P Lifelong Education Academy Wanju-gun H Rehabilitation Center Jeonju-si. There were 15 subjects experimental group 17 control group. Pre-test post-test conducted assess hand function, grip strength, daily living. The results statistically analyzed using SPSS version 18.0.Results: In upper extremity significantly improved ability both hands (right left) Within this group, showed improvement function skills picking up small common objects. Improvement living also significant group.Conclusion: study, it was confirmed when applied PDD, had positive effects on skills. It is expected can be fully utilized approaches PDD.
