چکیده

The aim of this study is to evaluate from a hydrological perspective and in the context climate change future subsurface drainage La Jaillière site (western France), which representative pedology majority French drainage. We used uniquely large comprehensive range 17 indicators (HIs), describing temporal dynamics season, soil saturation, drained water balance flood events. HI values are calculated simulated discharges provided by model, SIDRA-RU fed 12 projections 1975 2100 (CMIP5 Euro-Cordex project), with three scenarios: Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) 2.6, RCP4.5 RCP8.5. first verified that HIs using model over historical period were not critically biased compared obtained reference climatic reanalysis (SAFRAN). Second, we analysed evolution different periods under scenarios. Our results showed number significant changes increased 2100, depending on RCP: 2 out changed RCP2.6; 6 RCP4.5; 10 intensity peak flows linked events annual maximal discharge significantly all RCPs. temporality season was substantially affected according how pessimistic RCP was. worst observed RCP8.5, exacerbated extreme events: wet shorter while dry longer about 67%; drought index 100%; summer decreased 9%. On contrary, winter, duration maintaining same balance, thus inducing stronger leading an earlier saturation networks. sustainability system design at therefore threatened, risk fulfilling its function less effectively exposing current crops more important runoff affecting quality increasing leaching agrochemical inputs.

Effect of Drainage Parameters Change on Amount of Drain Discharge in Subsurface Drainage Systems

One of the most important factors for appropriate performance of subsurface drainage systems is having adequate discharge for drains. For this purpose, knowledge about effect of drainage parameters change on drain discharge is essential in subsurface drainage systems. In this article, using change all of the drainage parameters by EnDrain software, changes of drains discharge has been investiga...

Effects of Subsurface Drainage Design on the Water Quality

Some of the highest losses of nitrate to surface waters come from drained agricultural land. Given previous this article studied for Belgian farming conditions (i) the effect of subsurface drainage density on nitrate losses and (ii) the economics of nitrate emissions, using the nitrogen version of DRAINMOD (Brevé et al., 1997 a and b). DRAINMOD (Skaggs, 1997) was used to simulate the performanc...
