Effects of Different Basketball Shooting Positions and Distances on Gaze Behavior and Shooting Accuracy

Basketball is a sport where in order to obtain points, it necessary put the ball basket. Therefore, basketball players need shoot accurately. This study aimed evaluate if there are differences between shooting positions and angles concerning athlete visual behavior. Tobii Pro Glasses 3 was used measure number duration of fixations target during movement. The sample included 18 (10 female 8 males; 22 ± 3.72 years; 12.5 4.52 years federated practice) who performed total 60 shots all conditions positions. Two distances (free throw points line) three (45°, 90°, 135°) shot were considered (baseline, simulated opposition, gym audience noise). Between distances, statistically significant occurred accuracy.
