چکیده

Background Silicon is an abundant element in the human body and plays important role skin, taking part synthesis of collagen glycosaminoglycans. The use nanotechnology methods, which processes materials at atomic molecular scale, has allowed development nanosilicons. Aims study evaluates effectiveness a food supplement topical solution containing nanosilicon improving skin hydration elasticity. Methods A total 30 female subjects were randomized to receive placebo (n = 15) active compound 15). All enrolled took twice day for 20 days then once next days, they also had apply on right forearm four times day. Evaluation several parameters was performed after 40 through non-invasive instrumental methods (Corneometer® CM 825, Cutometer® MPA 580, Visioscan® VC, Tewameter® TM 200). Results Both treatment groups showed statistically significant improvement barrier function days; increase elasticity observed only group compound. Conclusions that administration solution, both nanosilicon, improves hydration, elasticity, function.

Skin barrier function and stratum corneum hydration

Under normal circumstances, epidermis must be as impermeable as possible except for a small amount of water loss to hydrate the outer layers of the SC. Although all living cells require water to function, some “dead” cells also require water to be metabolically active. As it is the case of corneocytes, epidermis must retain sufficient water to (a) hydrate the outer layers of the SC to maintain ...

compactifications and function spaces on weighted semigruops

chapter one is devoted to a moderate discussion on preliminaries, according to our requirements. chapter two which is based on our work in (24) is devoted introducting weighted semigroups (s, w), and studying some famous function spaces on them, especially the relations between go (s, w) and other function speces are invesigated. in fact this chapter is a complement to (32). one of the main fea...

the effects of multiple intelligences (focus on musical, visual, and linguistic) and direct instruction on learning grammar: a case on iranian efl students at elementary level

1.0 overview it seems that grammar plays a crucial role in the area of second and foreign language learning and widely has been acknowledged in grammar research. in other words, teaching grammar is an issue which has attracted much attention to itself, and a lot of teachers argue about the existence of grammar in language teaching and learning. this issue will remind us a famous sentence f...

Glycerol replacement corrects defective skin hydration, elasticity, and barrier function in aquaporin-3-deficient mice.

Mice deficient in the epidermal water/glycerol transporter aquaporin-3 (AQP3) have reduced stratum corneum (SC) hydration and skin elasticity, and impaired barrier recovery after SC removal. SC glycerol content is reduced 3-fold in AQP3 null mice, whereas SC structure, protein/lipid composition, and ion/osmolyte content are not changed. We show here that glycerol replacement corrects each of th...
