Effects of Mainstreaming Learners with Autism on Their Educational Experience in Public Primary Schools in Nyamache Sub County, Kisii County, Kenya

: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect mainstreaming among autistic learners on their educational experiences in primary schools Nyamache sub-county, Kisii County, Kenya. specifically guided address following objectives; assess Peer Interaction experience with autism, find out learner’s Self-management Antecedent Procedures autism and examine Peer-Mediated Interventions sub-county. A descriptive survey design adapted study. researcher used purposive sampling select 11 mainstreamed 102 ASD learners. head teachers from these also 36 SNE trained were selected as subject totaling 47 respondents. Structured questionnaires, observation schedules formulated collect required data. Data analyzed using both inferential statistics. Descriptively, frequency percentages while for statistics Spear-man correlation chi square test used. results revealed that application four strategies played a significant role improving education mainstream schools. It established most respondents agreed that; pear interaction very enhancing ASD. Similarly, majority indicated self-management, use antecedent procedures peer mediated learning important Further analysis association spearman correction there between concluded assists they learn new skills peers hence are improved effectively. Based findings study, it is recommended should be all order accommodate who challenges.
