چکیده

Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) is a cool legume crop grown in the highlands of Ethiopia, and chocolate spot disease (Botrytis fabae Sard.) occurs wide areas. There shortage recorded data about impact on beans their management practices Ethiopia. The objectives this study were to assess influence sowing dates frequency foliar fungicide (mancozeb) application for spots determine association with occurrence. experiment was conducted 2019 2020 growing seasons at two locations Shambu Guduru, western Oromia, mean severity, AUDPC, grain yield found be statistically significant differences ( P < 0.05 ) among treatments both years. A highly negative correlation AUDPC obtained high infection rate, low from unsprayed treatment. Three applications mancozeb spray first July date have effectively reduced severity significantly increased yield. However, cost-effective environmentally eco-friendly an issue that has further investigated.

fungal diseases, chocolate spot (botrytis fabae sard) is the most destructive diseases of faba bean and causes considerable dramatic damage losses on faba bean yield worldwide. the levels of resistance to chocolate spot were evaluated in 35 faba bean cultivars and one susceptible check (ilb365) and local check (barkat) at the gorgan agricultural research station during the 2010 and 2011 croppin...

Comparative Analysis of Defense Responses in Chocolate Spot-Resistant and -Susceptible Faba Bean (Vicia faba) Cultivars Following Infection by the Necrotrophic Fungus Botrytis fabae

In this study, resistance responses were investigated during the interaction of Botrytis fabae with two faba bean cultivars expressing different levels of resistance against this pathogen, Nubaria (resistant) and Giza 40 (susceptible). Disease severity was assessed on leaves using a rating scale from 1 to 9. Accumulation levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipid peroxidation and antioxidan...

Large-Scale Transcriptome Analysis in Faba Bean (Vicia faba L.) under Ascochyta fabae Infection

Faba bean is an important food crop worldwide. However, progress in faba bean genomics lags far behind that of model systems due to limited availability of genetic and genomic information. Using the Illumina platform the faba bean transcriptome from leaves of two lines (29H and Vf136) subjected to Ascochyta fabae infection have been characterized. De novo transcriptome assembly provided a total...

Enhancing faba bean (Vicia faba L.) genome resources

Grain legume improvement is currently impeded by a lack of genomic resources. The paucity of genome information for faba bean can be attributed to the intrinsic difficulties of assembling/annotating its giant (~13 Gb) genome. In order to address this challenge, RNA-sequencing analysis was performed on faba bean (cv. Wizard) leaves. Read alignment to the faba bean reference transcriptome identif...

the effect of different sowing dates on physiological characteristics of faba bean (vicia faba l.) varieties in khouzestan ramin

introduction determining the proper time for planting under different climate depends on the factors such as rainfall, temperature and length of day which are the most important aspects of crop production. its importance is because of the severity of these effects on different genotypes to achieve potential production. because different genotypes respond differently to planting delays. sowing d...
