Efficacy of Feed-Based Formalin-Killed Vaccine of Streptococcus iniae Stimulates the Gut-Associated Lymphoid Tissues and Immune Response of Red Hybrid Tilapia

Red hybrid tilapia were fed a formalin-killed oral Streptococcus iniae vaccine (FKV) in the present study was assessed. Three hundred 80 ± 10 g divided into five groups (1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, and Cx), each consisting of 60 fish. Fish from Groups 1A, 2B with FKV over different periods administration, while Group only group fish to receive an booster vaccination on day 14- 21-days post-vaccination (dpv). Cx normal pellets containing no as control group. At four weeks (wpv), all experimentally infected S. iniae. 2A had lowest level mortalities following (45% 30%, respectively) compared 1A 1B (80% 55%, respectively), 100%. All vaccinated showed significant increase anti-S. IgM levels (p < 0.05) serum, mucus, gut-lavage, did not > this died by post-infection. In conclusion, greater protection against iniae, increased specific antibody response there also evidence GALT stimulation vaccine.
