EFFICIENCY PORTAL VEIN X-RAY VASCULAR EMBOLIZATION IN EXTENDED HEPATIC RESECTION

Relevance. To evaluate the effectiveness of X-ray endovascular embolization portal vein branch in terms preparation for extensive liver resections. Materials and methods. A retrospective analysis 74 right-sided hemihepatectomies performed one stage (classical, n = 54) or two stages (X-ray right followed by resection was performed, 20). Results. accompanied a significant increase planned remainder an average 37.3 %. This made it possible to reduce volume intraoperative blood loss, incidence postresection hepatic failure from 43.1 15.9 %, postoperative mortality 9.3 5.0 Conclusions. Preoperative leads vicarious enlargement left lobe liver. makes reliably post-resection after hemihepatectomy and, accordingly, frequency deaths.
