Efficient algorithms for tandem queueing system simulation
Serial and parallel algorithms for simulation of tandem queueing systems with infinite buffers are presented, and their performance is examined. It is shown that the algorithms which are based on a simple computational procedure involve low time and memory requirements.
متن کاملEfficient parallel algorithms for tandem queueing system simulation
1. Abstract Parallel algorithms designed for simulation and performance evaluation of single-server tandem queueing systems with both infinite and finite buffers are presented. The algorithms exploit a simple computational procedure based on recursive equations as a representation of system dynamics. A brief analysis of the performance of the algorithms are given to show that they involve low t...
متن کاملA Tandem Queueing model for an appointment-based service system
We develop a queueing model for an appointment-based service system that consists of two queues in tandem: the appointment queue followed by the service queue. Customers join the appointment queue when they call for appointments, stay there (not physically) until the appointment time comes, and then leave the appointment queue and may physically join the service queue, and wait there until serv...
متن کاملsimulation and design of electronic processing circuit for restaurants e-procurement system
the poor orientation of the restaurants toward the information technology has yet many unsolved issues in regards to the customers. one of these problems which lead the appeal list of later, and have a negative impact on the prestige of the restaurant is the case when the later does not respond on time to the customers’ needs, and which causes their dissatisfaction. this issue is really sensiti...
15 صفحه اولDeveloping Efficient Simulation Methodology for Complex Queueing Networks
Simulation can provide insight to the behavior of a complex queueing system by identifying the response surface of several performance measures such as delays and backlogs. However, simulations of large systems are expensive both in terms of CPU time and use of available resources (e.g. processors). Thus, it is of paramount importance to carefully select the inputs of simulation in order to ade...
