Eigendegradation Algorithm Applied to Visco-Plastic Weak Layers

In geotechnical engineering, very often, the soil behavior varies with time. This is of particular interest in many cases such as embankments soft clays, shear band progression slopes or where speed application load affects bearing capacity material. this paper, we study extension non-local failures using algorithms eigenerosion and eigensoftening, order to evaluate failure weak layers. particular, time dependence bands analyzed through integration a Perzyna-type visco-plastic model degradation algorithm within Optimal Transportation Meshfree (OTM) framework. The validation proposed carried out three different practical cases, showing good agreement all them.
