Electromagnetic alternators with composite amorphous alloy shell for improving characteristics

In this study, a magnetic casing encapsulating generator is used to improve the electromagnetic and power characteristics of generator. Two types two-pole AC generators are proposed: one bare-bonded (NC) type other an iron-based amorphous alloy material covering casing. Fe-Si-B thin strips were annealed between 300 380 °C soaked for 60 min observe analyze structural changes evolution properties under different temperature conditions. After strip at 400 °C, α-Fe dendrites begin appear, 450 large number formed. The demagnetization rate permanent magnet area near bottom pole piece highest with shell because flux leakage from side frame path, thereby affecting performance. three alloys, HB1-M, HB1, SA1, as cladding shell, annealing non-annealing procedures conducted influence on surface was measured by fluxmeter. For experiments results show that center point densities approximately HB1-M (15 mT), HB1 (12 SA1 (10 marginal non-annealed could reach ∼7–5 mT. harmonic component higher than voltage current harmonics, reflecting magnetization direction in region covered density.
