چکیده

Abstract This chapter focuses on the introduction and discussion of electron polarization. In addition to gyromagnetic ratio, most different character electrons compared protons is that radiate electromagnetic energy in a circular accelerator. A very small correction has be applied spin flip account for synchrotron radiation. The instantaneous probabilities, up down up, can build beam polarization state. However, mostly radiation tends disturb orbital motion eventually balanced by damping along an equilibrium orbit. described modified Thomas-BMT equation with radiative transition term included. Adiabatic transfer of net electron polarization to nuclear polarization

A new type of spin chemical experiment is suggested which utilizes adiabatic reversion of a low magnetic Bo field for an efficient transfer of net electron spin polarization, as arising from some CIDEP mechanism, to the nuclear polarization of radicals. After trapping the radicals in diamagnetic products and transferring the sample to a NMR probe, the adiabatic polarization transfer effect can ...

Effects of many-electron atom polarization in electron-hole formalism

As is known [1], for odd number of electrons the Hartree Fock method of self-consistent field gives the equation, calculation with which help is connected to a problem of diagonalizing a matrix Lagrange multiplier. It results to possible noncommutativity of a Fock operator with the operator density matrix (a projector on subspace of orbitals for electron in a atomic core) and, hence, to absence...

Polarization of a Stored Electron Beam

Synchrotron radiation by a point charge is a familiar subject in classical electrodynamics. Perhaps less familiar are some quantum mechanical corrections to the classical results. In section I, we describe some of those quantum aspects of synchrotron radiation. One of the quantum effects leads to the expectation that electrons in a storage ring will polarize themselves to 92% --a surprisingly h...

Enhancement of Electron Spin Polarization in Semiconductors

An extension of the original Overhauser effect to a more general nonequi-librium state was proposed by G. Feher, and demonstrated by Clark and Feher some forty years ago. It is suggested here that it might be possible to produce excess electron spin polarization by allowing the role of the nuclei to be played by other magnetic entities, such as paramagnetic impurities or adjacent magnetically o...

Two-dimensional electron gas near full polarization

We establish the consistency of the Fermi liquid description and find a relation between the Fermi liquid constants for a two-dimensional electron system near the point of full polarization due to a parallel magnetic field H. Our results enable us to predict connections between different thermodynamic properties of the system. In particular, we find that near the point of full polarization Hc ,...
