Emergency Hybrid Correction in a Newborn with Critical Aortic Valve Stenosis with Acute Pulmonary Edema in the First Hour after Birth

Critical aortic valve stenosis in newborns is the cause of a severe clinical condition with onset symptoms during first hours after birth. We present case successful surgical correction critical using hybrid method applied newborn day life. The infant was diagnosed hypoplastic left heart complex an intact atrial septum (aortic and mitral valves variant), that led to cardiogenic shock acute pulmonary edema. procedure included bilateral banding artery branches atrioseptostomy stenting interatrial septum. surgery performed through median sternotomy.
