EMPD-based moisture buffering quantification with moisture-dependent properties (?): Modelling and simulations

چکیده
Materials with excellent moisture buffering performances have considerable application potential in the future developments of building design. The appropriate materials is determined via effective assessment their hygroscopic performance, however, currently available test methods (e.g., buffer value test) can evaluate only abilities under limited circumstances. Advanced numerical prediction heat, air and transfer (HAM) models) are not practical because unavailable hygrothermal properties excessive computation times. Integrating penetration depth (EMPD) model an inverse approach allows both identifying predicting effect on room conditions effectively efficiently. This paper reports that existing EMPD models conditions, hence proposes a modified two-layer considering moisture-dependent hygric reasonable resistance distributions. A novel dynamic presented terms typical fluctuations office buildings. Compared to standard property tests, combination extract key parameters efficiently effectively. Thus, actual performance be accurately predicted for wider spectrum conditions. precision proposed validated by comparing predictions measured results HAM results. method, advantages simple procedure, low experimental cost, high efficiency, wide applicable range, advisable applications. • consider properties. identify material ability. extracted solution.

Stress Redistribution Analysis of Piezomagnetic Rotating Thick-Walled Cylinder with Temperature-and Moisture-Dependent Material Properties
In this article, the problem of time-dependent stress redistribution of a piezomagnetic rotating thick-walled cylinder under an axisymmetric hygro-thermo-magneto-electro-mechanical loading is analyzed analytically for the condition of plane strain. Using the constitutive equations, a differential equation is found in which there are creep strains. Primarily, eliminating creep strains, an analyt...

Validated by a large-scale experimental investigation on moisture buffering (MB) effect, a whole building Heat, Air and Moisture (HAM) simulation tool, BSim, is applied to evaluate the impact of a number of parameters on the moisture buffering potential of a full-scale test room finished with hygroscopic materials. The Maximum Accumulated Moisture Buffering Value (MAMBV), developed from the moi...
متن کاملmoisture dependent physical properties of canola seeds
physical properties of four common iranian varieties of canola seeds (hyola, okapi, orient and slm) were evaluated as a function of their moisture contents. the average seed length and thousand seed mass varied linearly from 1.925 to 2.262 mm and from 3.06 to 4.84 g, respectively. the average diameter, geometric mean diameter, and sphericity varied non-linearly from 1.475 to 1.911 mm, 1.625 to ...
