Energy Scheduling for a DER and EV Charging Station Connected Microgrid with Energy Storage

Microgrids are an effective solution to decentralize electrical grids and improve usage of distributed energy resources (DERs). Within a microgrid there multiple active players it can be computationally expensive consider all their interactions. An optimal scheduler ensures that the needs within met without wasting electricity. With higher requirements for electric vehicle charging stations (EVCSs), schedulers essential ensure EV demands while being profitable flattening peak load on main power grid (MPG). This paper introduces two novel models, combining generated by DER, possibility storage with system (ESS), entity in form EVCS electricity trading MPG. The model incorporates important environment parameters created these intelligent way keeps action space relatively small thus avoiding problems associated high computational complexity. These models proven successfully shift from MPG, still providing customer satisfaction throughput, way, despite costs incurred DER. Instead relying real data is used, ensuring robust. Additional world stress tests carried out respect costs, wind generation, rates. Reinforcement learning implemented find maximizing overall profits. In cases considered self-sustaining established, more reliable EVCS.
