Enhancing the Performance of Perovskite Solar Cells by 4‐Chloro‐1,8‐Naphthalic Anhydride for Surface Passivation

On the surface and grain boundary of perovskite films there are large quantities defects, which leads to photogenerated carrier nonradiative recombination degrades performance solar cells (PSCs). Surface passivation can suppress detrimental effects defect improve PSCs. Here, an organic molecule, 4-chloro-1,8-naphthalic anhydride (ALS), is adopted passivate defects on (FAPbI3)0.95(MAPbBr3)0.05 films. The oxygen carbonyl group in ALS provides lone pair electron undercoordinated Pb2+ passivated this defect. have lower trap state density longer lifetime. As a result, photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) PSCs was improved from 21.52% 23.72%. Furthermore, PSC show good stability, it could maintain 88% its initial after 1200 h storage ambient atmosphere without encapsulation.
