Enriched environment-induced neuroplasticity in ischemic stroke and its underlying mechanisms

چکیده
Stroke is a common cerebrovascular disease that can interrupt local blood flow in the brain, causing neuronal damage or even death, resulting varying degrees of neurological dysfunction. Neuroplasticity an important function helps neurons reorganize and regain after injury. After cerebral ischemia, neuroplasticity changes are critical factors for restoring brain function. An enriched environment promotes increased neuroplasticity, thereby aiding stroke recovery. In this review, we discuss positive effects on including synaptic plasticity, neurogenesis, angiogenesis. addition, also introduce some studies clinical application environments rehabilitation post-stroke patients, hoping they provide inspiration doctors therapists looking new approaches to rehabilitation.

Angiogenesis, Neurogenesis and Neuroplasticity in Ischemic Stroke
Only very little is know about the neurovascular niche after cardioembolic stroke. Three processes implicated in neurorepair: angiogenesis, neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity, would be naturally produced in adult brains, but also could be stimulated through endogen neurorepair phenomena. Angiogenesis stimulation generates new vessels with the aim to increase collateral circulation. Neurogenes...
متن کاملAn enriched environment improves sensorimotor function post-ischemic stroke.
OBJECTIVE An enriched environment (EE) refers to conditions that facilitate or enhance sensory, cognitive, motor, and social stimulation relative to standard (laboratory) conditions. Despite numerous published studies investigating this concept in animal stroke models, there is still debate around its efficacy. The authors performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to determine the efficac...

Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Neuroprotective Effects of Albumin After Ischemic Stroke To the Editor: We read with great interest the recent articles by Dr Ginsberg et al1 and Dr Palesch et al2 reporting the results of a phase I clinical trial with human albumin infusion in stroke. It has been suggested that the beneficial effect observed by human albumin in the rodent stroke models is attrib...
متن کاملVitamin D and Ischemic Stroke
Introduction: stroke is the most important brain disease. Stroke leads to a reduction in bone density, altered calcium homeostasis, and an increase in hip fractures. Some recent studies show effects of vitamin D on stroke and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to determine of serum vitamin D levels in patients with acute stroke. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we compared t...
متن کاملdysphagia in acute ischemic stroke
Introduction: Swallowing dysfunction complicates acute strokes in 25-32% of cases and directly affects patientschr('39') prognosis and recovery. Dysphagia complicates the course of acute strokes through its potential of the development of chest infection, nutritional problems, and dehydration. Dysphagia is also an independent predictor of respiratory morbidity and mortality in acute stroke. In...
