We propose a random circuit model to analyze the impact of noise on performance variational quantum circuits for classical optimization problems. Our accounts propagation arbitrary single qubit errors through circuit. find that even with small rate, quality obtained optima is low average and single-qubit error rate $1 / nD$, where $n$ number qubits $D$ depth, needed possibility advantage. estimate this translates an lower than $10^{-6}$ using QAOA problems 2D circuits.
