Establishing Regional Power Sustainability and Feasibility Using Wind Farm Land-Use Optimization

Wind-farm planning optimization is important for decision-making concerning regional energy in developing countries. This process governed by restrictions on site selection based land suitability metric variables, wind turbine technology and land-use governing criteria. study aims to create a framework appropriation strategies locating optimum sites suitable farms. It using Jordan as an Area of Interest (AOI), where the scope illustrate how this will employ positively enhance national Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The methodology employs thirteen GIS thematic layers with 250-m spatial resolution substantiate site-specific criteria, type, hub height variables are determining factors optimal solution. method involves selecting relevant factors, database construction, data layer generation preparation, numerical ranking weighting each factor, computation potential farm locations map overlaying all layers. results showed that establishment farms would not only meet AOI’s growing needs, rather exceed them generating income nation. feasibility boost GDP 3.4%; where, example, one governorate alone could produce 274.3% total required consumption at 50 m. attests valuable can be implemented elsewhere establish power sustainability other nations. show added indicating value terms its establishing should considered future sustainable studies when considering networks smart cities, industrial agriculture, new agglomerations.
